Not sure if I should stick with stability shoe

I currently have the HOKA Arahi 3, but have noticed that they are wearing on the outside of my forefoot and when looking down while walking it looks like I'm walking on the outside of my feet. When I take my shoes off, I feel pain on the outside of my forefoot. Is my pronation being over-corrected? Should I go to a neutral shoe? I recently started walking regularly again (about 3 miles a day), but I'm not sure my current shoe is the right choice. I also work in a preschool and am on my feet at least 3 hours a day. I need to have a shoe available in wide width. Any recommendations are very welcome. Thank you!

Sounds like the shoes are providing more stability than you need. What shoes did you have previously that you had success with? Also, why did you originally go with the Arahi?

I was told years ago in a running shoe store that I over-pronate. Since then I have always sought out a stability shoe. I liked the Arahi 3 - it fit well and was comfortable plus had great reviews. My previous shoe was the Saucony Omni 15 - I still have that pair and I have the same wear pattern on those - outside heel and forefoot wear. Before that I had the Brooks Addiction 11 - I don't have that shoe anymore to check wear. Before that I had the Brooks Addiction 10. My first stability shoe was New Balance. I can't remember the number either 940 or 1540? It's been a long time.

Many current neutral shoes are nearly as stable as stability shoes were just a few years ago. Consider the HOKA Bondi if you wanted to stick with the brand. The New Balance More V3 is also a great neutral shoe that offer a significant amount of stability, both are available in wider widths.
