Blister care and Prevention

Just ran 13 miles today and got a hot spot...used my chap stick to lub up the spot. Ended up being a huge blister. Any tips of what to use in the humid weather for protection? Glide? I'm thinking for prevention prior to long muggy runs in the heat.

For long runs in the heat I have had good success with Body Glide. Hopefully not TMI but I use it on my inner thighs, arm pits, and sometimes on my chest depending on the material of my shirt and duration of my run. It goes on like a deodorant - no mess, no residue, and no complaints.

Other folks use vaseline (seems too messy), Chamois Butt'r or Squirrel's Nut Butter (neither of which I have used but both enjoy good feedback).
