Aeroswift Half-tights

Does anyone know why there is a $5 difference between the Aeroswifts released in 2020 and the ones released slightly more recently? I’m talking about the ones that have the same ribbed design and look exactly the same. I got the ones that cost $80 a few months back and I could not understand why there was a price increase.

The latest ones include a small pocket according to the product description on Nike.com. The $80 ones from last year, which I have, lack this feature.

Oh, I see. I guess that makes sense then. The shorts are expensive regardless, but I can see why adding a pocket would warrant a price increase. I probably won’t be getting those new ones though since I don’t need a pocket as a track runner.

As a follow-up, I had the opportunity to visit the Nike Boston store, which had these on display. There are actually 4 smalls pockets - 2 in the front and 2 in the back. I could fit my house keys in these small pockets. I'm still going to wait until they go on sale!;)

Yeah, same thing in the split shorts. I’ve had the splits for a year. The pockets are definitely a nice to have, but I don’t think I’d pay an extra $5 though considering what I use them for. I almost exclusively ran track races in my half tights and it’s too hot now to actually wear the type of short. I could see it being a very useful feature for cooler climates though while racing a marathon or running out of your car.
