I am thinking of giving this race a try in December. Any feedback on it would be appreciated...

Any other folks from SLO targeting this race also?

Matt,

4 people I'm aware of training specifically for CIM. Cristi Spahr, Stephanie Nunes and Jennifer Rubio. All at just under or slightly over 3 hours. The other person is Scott Peterson.

The race itself. It's a very well run event w/ a net downhill. First half of the race is rolling hills, the last half is flat for the most part. Per mil pace given each mile. Only negative factor is there are times when the weather isn;t pleasant. Has been windy and rainy some years. Most years though it's cool and calm. Fast event overall.

My goal time is roughly in the same ballpark of the three you mentioned...if they, or others are looking for training partners, let me know.
